TikTok overtakes Google as the most popular domain globally

Well for many years, search engine giants, "Google" hold the title of the world's most popular website, but this year its seems Google has been knocked down by Tiktok- according to rankings from web security company Cloudflare.

Google.com — which includes Google Maps, Translate, and News, and many other Google services — ended the previous year as the leader in Cloudflare’s rankings, but in 2021 its slips down.

Even, Microsoft trick made Bing the default search tool for the Edge browser, in spite of that the most popular search term typed into Bing is "Google" which didn't manage to beat Google and its services.

The Cloudflare list of most popular domains is part of Cloudflare’s Year in Review report and represents domains that gained the most traffic from one year to another.

Note that TikTok was at 7th ranks in 2020 when Google holds the first position, meaning it jumped six spots in one year. The social networking video site hit a new record this September, reporting one billion monthly active users.
