If you are a Qwiki user then here is a bad news for you, as Yahoo Inc. who had acquired Qwiki last July for $50 million, have now announced its end. Along with Qwiki, Yahoo yesterday announced the closing of several other products too that includes Yahoo Education and Yahoo Directory.
Yahoo Education, a site specially designed to connect users to educational content and providers is been now shut down. Yahoo Directory which was started nearly 20 years ago as a directory of websites that helped users explore the Internet is also getting off.
All three service is going to close but one after one. Yahoo says that Yahoo Education will be going to end on September 30. After that its turns for mobile Qwiki, which helps users create movies from the photos and videos in their Camera Roll, is going to close on November 1.
At last Yahoo will closed the Yahoo directory service and it will be closing at the end of this year (2014), 31st December.
