Hell, you could hash the emails *and* the passwords if you're paranoid. But, people should be able to determine if they are affected.John Ohnonoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3448621598664628523.post-30588863787155176192015-01-20T23:40:12.495+05:302015-01-20T23:40:12.495+05:30John, we have the list but for the security reason...John, we have the list but for the security reasons will not post itVivek Gurunghttp://www.cyberkendra.com/noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3448621598664628523.post-23595208685325599862015-01-20T23:24:22.702+05:302015-01-20T23:24:22.702+05:30For the life of me, I can't find the list -- w...For the life of me, I can't find the list -- which you'd think would be fairly easy to find, and would be the most obvious means of checking what the likely source is. For instance, if my account is listed, I can determine whether or not the password attached is mine (and if it is, then I know that it's probably the result of a breach rather than phishing, for instance, and that it's not the result of some windows-specific client vulnerability).

The original german article didn't appear to list a source (although I don't speak german so I can't be totally sure). Is the publication reliable? Or, is the whole security community busy re-posting a story from the german equivalent of The Onion?John Ohnonoreply@blogger.com
